Secretary
Records minutes at board meetings. Board meetings once per month. Ensures bylaws are being followed. Helps maintain documentation. Time commitment variable, but averaging 3 hours per month. Director of Concert Operations
The concert operations job oversees parent support for concerts during the year. This involves working with the band directors to determine what support is needed for each concert and then finding parent volunteers to help with tasks like sound support, bake sales, programs, and concert set-up. The concert operations volunteer attends the concerts and organizes the parents volunteers who are leading each of those tasks. This is a fun job and there is good documentation for what the tasks are. The outgoing concerts operation volunteer will provide an orientation. Ideal for a 6th or 7th grade parent.
Communications
Develops monthly FOMAHi newsletters to keep parents informed of resources, concerts, fundraisers and more. Submits communications to Hamilton Weekly News. The commitment is approximately 3 hours per month. Training will be provided.
