FOMAHI NEWS, September 2025
Welcome Back!

Dear Hamilton Music Families:

We hope your student’s musical year is off to a great start! FOMAHI is here to make it even better—with concerts, festivals, trips, and the support our directors need to help every student shine.

For those new to us, Friends of Music at Hamilton International (FOMAHI) is the nonprofit booster group for Hamilton’s bands, choirs, and orchestras. We keep families informed, organize volunteers, fund scholarships and supplies, and make sure every student can fully participate in the music program.

Welcome, Director Hepburn!

We are excited to welcome a new music director to HIMS!

Lauren Hepburn joins us to lead Intro and Premier Band. A Northwest native and recent UW grad with a Master’s in Music Education, Lauren brings both teaching experience in Seattle Public Schools and a passion for performance—playing clarinet and saxophone with groups ranging from the Washington Wind Symphony to the Seattle Rock Orchestra. We’re thrilled to have her energy and expertise on board!

Enrichment Fee Reminder

FOMAHI keeps Hamilton’s music program thriving through events like the Music-a-thon, Dine Out Nights, and concert bake sales.

This year, we’re asking families to consider a voluntary $40 enrichment fee to help fund programs until our big fundraiser in February 2025.

If you can contribute, please do so after creating or updating your FOMAHI account. Already contributed? Thank you! 💛
