The school year is winding down...

You are receiving this email because you are registered with the Friends of Music at Hamilton International Middle School (FOMAHI).

At our May meeting, Directors Angela Pence and Geoff Ogle introduced us to Brendan McGovern, who has taken over Paul Harshman's groups as a long-term substitute for the remainder of the year.

The Directors have been purchasing new music stands and instruments - including new keyboards - with some of FOMAHI's budget surplus.

Make sure to tune in to the final virtual concerts of the year on the evenings of May 27th and June 10th. Keep an eye out for links from your student's director.

Join Us June 8th

Hello 2021/2022 Hamilton parents!

Do you want to support your student's music education and strengthen Hamilton International's music programs? We're looking for Choir Co-chair and other officers to join the FOMAHI Board for the 2021/22 school year.

We are a 100 percent volunteer, parent-led organization. Our main purpose is to make sure our music directors have the resources they need to help our aspiring musicians thrive. Next year, we anticipate needing volunteers at every level - at concerts, Music-a-thon, bake sales, etc.

If you’d like to get involved, we encourage you to attend our final Board meeting of the school year on June 8th at 7pm (meetings run approximately 1 hour).

Upcoming Concerts

Each concert is a live Teams event and a meeting link will be sent out by the director a week before. Come and enjoy what music students have been working on in our time of distance learning!

Pence Intermediate Band Concert – TONIGHT! May 27^th

Ms. Pence’s 6^th period Intermediate Band will present a virtual concert on Thursday, May 27^th from 7pm-9pm. They will present performance recordings from the whole band as well as pre-recorded solo and small group performances.

End-of-Year BandConcert – June 10th

Mr. Ogle's Junior and Senior Bands as well as Jazz Band will be present pre-recorded group and solo performances.

Important! Have you updated your FOMAHI membership profile this school year? If not, please go to FOMAHI's website (https://fomahi.membershiptoolkit.com), log in and make sure your student's grade level and music class are correct for the 2020-21 school year. This will ensure you receive communications appropriate for your student's specific music class.
