About Friends of Music at Hamilton International (FOMAHI)

Friends of Music at Hamilton International (FOMAHI) is dedicated to supporting Hamilton's choirs, orchestras, concert bands and jazz bands by providing access to music education and performance opportunity for students. The FOMAHI board meets at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in the school library. Board meetings are open to all Hamilton families. (Date subject to change; see calendar for latest board meeting information.)

Your FOMAHI registration dollars provide:

  • Sheet music for all ensembles
  • Festival performance fee supplements
  • Instrument purchases and repairs
  • Financial assistance for students
  • Enhanced music instruction
  • Guest instructors
  • Classroom teacher grants

FOMAHI was granted 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation status in 2009, and through the State of Washington is authorized to solicit charitable donations. It is governed by an elected Board of Directors which includes a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications Chair, Fundraising Chair and Volunteer Coordination Chair.
