About FOMAHI
What is FOMAHI?
Friends of Music at Hamilton International (FOMAHI) is dedicated to supporting Hamilton's choirs, orchestras, concert bands and jazz bands by providing access to music education and performance opportunity for students. The FOMAHI board meets monthly in the Hamilton's library or online. Board meetings are open to all Hamilton families. See FOMAHI's calendar for upcoming board meeting dates.
How does FOMAHI support Hamilton's music program?
Your FOMAHI registration fee and donations provide:
- Sheet music and supplies for all students
- Music coaches
- Instrument purchases and repairs
- Financial assistance for students
- Guest instructors
- Festival performance fee supplements
- Enhanced music instruction
- Teacher grants and professional development
FOMAHI was granted 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation status in 2009, and through the State of Washington is authorized to solicit charitable donations. It is governed by an elected Board of Directors which includes Co-Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications Chair, Fundraising Chair and Volunteer Coordination Chair.
